Welcome To TMH

Thorverton Memorial Hall has served as the heart of village life for generations. Built as a community memorial to those who served in the world wars, the hall has evolved over the decades while remaining true to its purpose: providing a welcoming space for gatherings, celebrations, and local events.

Today, the hall is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteer trustees who give their time and energy to ensure it continues to thrive. Thanks to their stewardship — and the support of the wider community — Thorverton enjoys an unusually large and well‑equipped village hall, offering excellent facilities for groups, clubs, and private functions. Our village hall is an ideal choice for weddings, private celebrations, children’s parties, and—especially—business events. We are proud of this remarkable asset and of the community spirit that sustains it.

Thorverton itself is a thriving and exceptionally beautiful village, set in the Mid Devon countryside. Tucked away from main roads yet within easy reach of Exeter and Tiverton, it offers the best of rural tranquillity and accessibility. Visitors and residents alike enjoy its network of country walks, welcoming pubs, and the popular farm shop with its well‑loved restaurant. The hall sits at the centre of this vibrant community, supporting village life and welcoming all who come through its doors.
